            January Outing:  Annual Winter Cabin Outing

Waterloo Recreation Area-Chelsea, Michigan

Friday January 22, 2010 6:00 PM until Sunday January 24, 2010 at 12:00 noon

This outing is a scout favorite every year.   We are having a patrol quinzee (snow hut) building contest.  Who is going to sleep outside in the quinzees this year?

December Outing:  All Electronics… All Night Long Outing

This was an overnight outing at our charter church in Walled Lake

 Friday December 11, 2009  7:30 PM until Saturday December 12, 2009 at 7:30 AM

Troop 308 is a strong boy led, non-electronics, camping troop.  In a break from the tradition, the scouts had an electronics overload at our charter church.

 


November Outing:

We took a day trip to the Red Barn Loft Rock Climbing Wall Facility to learn rock climbing and repelling.

Troop 308 wins the Ottawa District’s 3rd Annual 2009 Unity Camporee Great Pumpkin Chucker Finale! 

Troop 308 invited Webelos Scouts to join us in the design, building and launching of the pumpkins. We launched the winning pumpkin 70 yards.  Yes that is 210 feet! 

Here is the winning pumpkin chucker and the scout team celebrating the victory.

 
Summer Camp
 
Summer Camp was a blast!  We are putting together a slide show of all of the Troop 308 photos to show at our next Troop meeting on July 27th.  We just couldn’t wait to share these two group photos:

June Outing

Our June outing was in the beautiful Huron Manistee National Forest. 

We camped in a rustic camp ground overlooking the Au Sable River.
